About Me

I am a web and graphic designer hailing from Chicago, currently living in Los Angeles. I grew
up all over the United States: Missouri, Arizona, Illinois, but call Chicago home. My parents always bought art supplies for me, and for as far back as I can remember, I have been drawing, painting and otherwise using my imagination. I have been passionate about art since childhood and became interested in design in high school.

I feel design, in any form, affects all parts of life, and as such, should be impactful and meaningful. I believe that all forms of design should reflect its audience while also being informative without being obtrusive.

I would classify my design as clean, grid-oriented, simple, and clutter-free. As a wise man once told me, "white space is your friend." I love using my own photography and using typography as a dominant element. Most would even say I am "type-nerd" and I am constantly critiquing every new logo, billboard, magazine, and flyer I see.

My Philosophy

I approach a project with an open mind,
taking care not to start before I am prepared.
Then begins the churning: research, ideas, and concepts meld together from pieces of inspiration. After that, I pour over each thought until lightening strikes. Again and again, the strikes become stronger until the storm has passed. The sun comes out and the outpouring and lightning has created something fresh and alive.
