About

Laurel Jones Design is me, Laurel. I am a web and graphic designer experienced in both print and web design in agency, freelance, and in-house settings. My designs are uncluttered, grid-oriented, and fresh. I believe in the mantra, “White space is your friend,” and always attempt to implement that into my work. I have a special place in my heart for typography and art. Combining the two into design is what makes my work my passion.

To me, design affects everyone, whether they think so or not. As such, it should be meaningful and portray the point at hand in a simple, straightforward manner. All forms of design, in any medium, should reflect its audience. That’s what makes it successful.

As far as my life history is concerned: I was born in Kansas City, grew up in Missouri, graduated high school in a small town outside of St. Louis, and went to college in Chicago, the city that stole my heart. That is where I met and married my husband and moved to sunny Los Angeles where I currently reside with two cats, Snoogans & Ali, and a dog, Wrigley.
